Edmonton
Edmonton today is a growing city.
The population of Edmonton is about a million people and
the city is located in the heart of Alberta. Edmonton
has a NHL hockey called the Edmonton Oilers. You may
have heard of them.
In the summer, Edmonton has many
festivals, over 30 per year actually. You can take a
look here -> Edmonton Festivals and see for yourself the
large selection of events to go to. The city also has a
big motor sports interest which includes a drag strip
and a place on the INDY circuit.
From music to great restaurants,
Edmonton has a lot to offer for tourists and Edmontonians alike. Horse racing and the famous West
Edmonton Mall are a great way to spend a day.
This capital city has many trails
and walking paths to get some fresh air. On rainy days,
you can visit the Royal Alberta museum or perhaps the
Edmonton space and science center to catch an IMAX show.
Music wise, there is something for
everyone in Edmonton. The music scene is huge. From
country to metal, you can listen to live bands almost
every day of the week. Just pick a venue and check it
out. I would place Edmonton as one of the best cities in
the world to stay entertained in. There is absolutely
just too much to do; so much in fact that it is
sometimes difficult to decide what to do.
In the winter, there are sky hills
and ice rinks to go out and freeze your butt on. Buy or
rent some skies, go out and have the time of your life.
Edmonton is well laid out and easy
to travel in. Most of the roads make sense and addresses
are easy to find. Even the newest citizens rarely get
lost getting from one side of the city to the other.
This makes Edmonton very special compared to some other
cities that can be a nightmare to drive in unless you
really know your streets and directions. Currently, the
city of Edmonton is in the middle of placing many
overpasses to further improve mobility. Once complete,
Edmonton should rank as one of the easiest cities to
navigate in Canada.
The citizens of Edmonton are
beautiful, caring people. Ask for directions and you’ll
get them. People care about each other in this city and
it shows with a low crime rate.
Come out and visit Edmonton when
you get the chance. You will not regret it!
